Supporting people in the Borders for more than 30 years
Streets Ahead began life when people with learning disabilities were being discharged from long term care. A group of families got together to help people live independent lives in the community and Streets Ahead was born!

For many years we have been supporting people with learning disabilities. More recently, our support has extended to working with people with mental health problems and people with dementia.

We have a very experienced Board of Trustees. They are committed to governing Streets Ahead to the highest level. All of our Trustees are unpaid, and support us on a voluntary basis.

We are on the personal outcomes journey and aspire to be champions of helping people get to where they want to be in life. This means committing to a person-centred approach, recognising what’s important to people.
